THE AUTHOR

Raised in Lake Tahoe and hardened by the Desolation Wilderness, Scott’s perseverance led him to hitchhike to Alaska during the pipeline heydays. He found construction success in Cordova and Anchorage. Later permanently returning to California in 1988 to become a licensed contractor and labor foreman on Bay Area projects, retiring in 2019.
